Shamshad Siddiqui

Shamshad Siddiqui

Shamshad Siddiqui is a legal professional with a practice that spans civil, criminal, and commercial law. A graduate of Aligarh Muslim University's class of 2023, he brings to his work the kind of range that comes from genuine intellectual curiosity and a willingness to engage with the law across its many dimensions.

His approach to advocacy is grounded in careful thought and precise expression. These are qualities that come naturally to someone who reads and writes poetry. There is a discipline in poetry that mirrors the discipline of law: the search for the right word, the construction of an argument, the weight a single line can carry. Shamshad brings that sensibility into how he thinks and communicates.

Away from his desk, he is drawn to football, both as a spectator and as a player. The game demands strategy, teamwork, and the ability to read a situation as it develops. Not entirely unlike a courtroom.

Still early in his career, Shamshad is building a practice that is as broad as his interests and as focused as his ambitions. He is someone who takes his work seriously without taking himself too seriously, and that balance tends to take people far.

Khushboo Sai Khurana

Khushboo Sai Khurana

Ms. Khushboo brings a rare combination to her practice. She is both a qualified Company Secretary and a law graduate, and that dual grounding gives her a perspective on corporate legal matters that goes beyond what most litigators carry into a courtroom. She completed her LLB from Lloyd Law College in 2024 and has since joined Diwan Advocates as an Associate, where she works at the intersection of corporate law and insolvency litigation.

Her practice is focused and technically demanding. She works primarily on matters under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, with a particular depth in real estate insolvencies, an area that sits at the confluence of financial distress, regulatory complexity, and competing stakeholder interests. Alongside this, she handles proceedings under the SARFAESI Act and the Companies Act, 2013, covering the full range of corporate and debt enforcement disputes that define this space.

What makes her contribution substantive is the breadth of what she does within each matter. From drafting pleadings and appellate filings to conducting legal research and providing litigation support, she is involved end to end. That kind of engagement, early in a career, builds the kind of lawyer who understands not just the law but the full architecture of a dispute.

Still in the early years of her practice, Ms. Khushboo is already working on matters of real complexity and consequence. The foundation she is building, technical, thorough, and grounded in a strong understanding of corporate law, points toward a career of genuine depth.

The early years after graduation are rarely linear, but they are rarely wasted either, and the combination of a strong institution and the drive it takes to get through a law degree says something about the kind of professional she is becoming.

As she continues to grow in her practice and carve out the areas of law that speak to her, Talat brings with her the training, the discipline, and the perspective that Jamia instils. The rest is a career in the making.
